Walking Onion Allium cepa x fistulosum
A perennial ediable onion that walks!
Grows up to 60cm x 60cm clumps
Tolerates both freezing cold and also hot weather, a tough plant indeed.
Forms bulbils late spring which get heavy and fall to the ground and replant themselves, hence named the ‘Walking Onion’
Bulbils can be pickled, small onions can be used like sallots and green stem also eaten.
This plant will come as a single seedling in the post, will only be posted Monday and Tuesdays.
